I quickly answered circling letter (A) without giving the question much extra thought. My logic was that both "jumping up and down" and "shout(ing) 'Yes'" were on the same level of excited emotion. If I would have re-read the question, I would have realized that the key words were "loss for words." In this situation, the person's nonverbal behaviors of communication were much more drastic than that of their verbal communication because all the person could say was "Yes." The correct answer was accenting.
accenting: relationship in which one form of communication is exaggerated over the other
complimenting: relationship in which one form of communication goes along with the other
My example: Charlie Bit My Finger. Yes, Charlie's brother does teach us a thing or two about the different ways forms of communication can be existed at the same time. At first, his nonverbal facial expression is accenting his "ouch." Then, gradually both his facial expression and his yelp compliment each other. And finally at the end, he is smiling but verbally reprimanding Charlie, an example of conflicting.
