Charlie Hustle goes to Cooperstown: Why Pete Rose should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame

Pete Rose is possibly one of the greatest players in Major League Baseball history. Charlie Hustle, as he was called, was a relentless competitor for the Reds and Phillies, who brought his all every game. Rose played forever, racking up hits, games, awards and championships.

Unfortunately, Rose was banned from Baseball during the 1989 season for accusations that he bet on games. The main result of this is that Pete Rose is not allowed in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. This irritates me to no end.

I hope that my speech will convince everyone why Pete Rose should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

  1. Jace, as always I'm interested to learn more from your sports expertise. For the speech, make sure that it's not just you making a point and expressing your opinion, but that you realistically pull us into the topic and share what we can do or what we should support in order to address this controversy. Does your speech help change the way we view Hall of Fame inductions in general? Will it help make us more opinionated in that sense? That can be a more focused and specific goal for your speech. make sure you tailor it appropriately.
