Diana, Princess of the World

Princess Diana is presumably on of the most famous royals in not just England but the world. Through charitable efforts that helped people worldwide, Princess Diana became a role model and leader to all. Tragically, her life was cut short in an automobile accident but her work still reminds us of how even one person can change the world.

Princess Diana was a laissez-faire leader. Her actions were mostly for personal satisfaction but they caused others to follow by example. She brought awareness to AIDs and landminesin Africa. My favorite characteristic in Princess Diana was her humility. Even though she was royal and considered high class, she remained humble by helping and giving back to others who desperately needed it.

One flaw about Princess Diana was that she died prematurely. If she was still alive today, I believe that there would be more research and effort towards problems such as AIDs because of the money she would of helped fund.

Through her title, Princess Diana was able to bring awareness to the issues that mattered to her. Her humility showed the world that everyone should try to help others. Her leadership may not have been dominate but it was effective enough to generate a worldwide appreciation.

  1. Great choice! My mom absolutely loved Princess Diana and even when I was too young to realize what great philanthropic work she was doing around the world, my mom's admiration for her was passed on to me.

I wouldn't say her dying prematurely was her flaw... that was just an unfortunate circumstance. However, what led to that death might have been her flaw. It was always widely known that Princess Diana and Charles' marriage was not a happy one; however, divorce was not an option as it would tarnish the reputation of the royal family. So to save face, Diana was submissive and she failed to speak out for her own happiness.
